Naturally, to reach the lower frequencies it is necessary to increase the diameter of the string, but doing so gradually worsens the sound quality due to the phenomenon of internal damping of the string. This results in a duller, duller and less ready sound according to the following law: the thicker the string, the more muffled the sound.
Our revolutionary approach – never introduced before us – involves increasing the density of each individual string of the treble in order to compensate for this acoustic loss. In this way, the variation in diameter between the cellars is considerably lower. The instrument, therefore, sounds more ready, clear, powerful and extraordinarily homogeneous among all the strings and in all the positions of the fretboard, especially those above the 12th fret. The intonation of the pressed string is better due to the less variation between the diameters. Up to now this result has only been achieved by the Harps where, in order to limit the problem described above, the vibrating length of the lower strings has continuously increased.
